This product is absolutely fantastic. The reason I say that, is because with so many crazy gadgets coming out to open wine bottles, or to vacuum seal the freshness in, it's just really nice to have a simple, yet durable and useful tool that works, every time! In the past I have tried the "cool" looking wooden corkscrew, or the vacuum powered cork remover, in order to open my wine bottles. Both broke within a year. However, if you look in the kitchen drawer, you will find a corkscrew, similar to this one, but extremely OLD, that STILL works! This Waiter's Corkscrew is built well, strongly made, and is not going to fall apart within a year of using it. When I was a server at Olive Garden, we had openers just like this one, and used it to open several bottles of wine per night, yet they never broke. The fancy wine openers look cool, but honestly, they do not last. If you want a long lasting wine bottle opener, than one just like this is what you need. Also, the added bonus of the vacuum seal (hand powered!) that comes with it is nice. Not only can you open your wine bottle without the corkscrew breaking, but you can also keep it fresh with the simple vacuum. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product. It's perfect for the beginner Wino, as well as for the elite wine connoisseur. It also comes in a nice box with lining, which will keep the rust off of the metal. Definitely a good set to have, or the perfect gift for a friend or family member.
